The mother of the deceased, Erica Robinson confirmed her death on social media. She posted information on the death on her social media accounts. The message shared information about the death of her daughter. It stated that her daughter, age 18 when she died, had been shot. A photo of the girl taken with her father's wife who died as well. They both appeared to be wearing identical red t-shirts. The police have discovered that Gatlin had been shot in the area of Barnes Street in Jackson.
