Kellie Martin is the American actress and filmmaker popularly known for her roles for her role as Christy Huddleston in the period drama "Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the family drama Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. She is also known for being the main character in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Born to a department store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin began her acting career when she was just seven when her aunt, who was a nanny for actor Michael Landon's kids, helped her land a guest spot in the 1982 show "Father Murphy". She began acting professionally after graduating Yale University. This led to her being offered major part-time roles in the TV and film industries. Martin as well as being an accomplished actor and dancer, she is also a successful ballet photographer. Two daughters are hers Martin is the Lupus spokesperson and spreads awareness about the condition each day following the passing of her sister at age 19.
